Dear guest,
If you’ve been here before, you’ll know that I update my site once every year. Last summer, I attempted a mid-year update by hand-coding a 20+ page website with some 600+ lines of CSS and a splash of jQuery. I learned much in the process, including the realization that I do not care to be verbose in either speech or code. So I erased everything but my favorite part, which you’ll find at the bottom of this page.
If you’re a new guest, here is the information you’re probably seeking about me: my name is Jo Suk. I am based on unceded Canarsie lands. I received my B.A. in Communication Studies from Davidson College and my Master's from NYU ITP. I get paid to write, make art, and create strategies. I have written and spoken for Are.na [1, 2, 3]. My writing also appears in Adjacent [4] and Rhizome (forthcoming) [5]. I have created net art pieces for Crawlspace [6] and The Wrong Biennale [7]. I published a guide on building hypertext gardens in the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy [8], based on a digital humanities workshop I ran at NYU [9].
If you need, you can reach me via email [@].
Take care,
Jo
